Celeriac is basically a celery plant that was bred for its roots instead of its stems and leaves. The root is crunchy and tastes much like celery with a slight nutty flavor and parsley-like undertones. Typically used cooked or fresh in small amounts.
Celeriac is associated with potential antioxidant compounds.
