Pumpkin is a member of the squash family and has a flavor that is somewhat similar to sweet potato but a bit nuttier. I grow a few different varieties besides the typical orange, because it’s more fun. Typically used in baking or cooking.
Pumpkins are associated with potential antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidative, antiulcerative, and wound healing properties.
